Junior Golf School
The junior academy is a national program with a collaborative framework based on research and best practices from PGA professionals. The junior golf academy’s main focus is to coordinate a fun, systematic approach to develop long term player development that will continue the play of golf socially or competitively. Participants will be instructed in four areas that will help youth learn, develop, and practice the skills to become a better golfer and enjoy the sport of golf. The four areas are: golf skills, sportsmanship, etiquette and rules, and golf physical assessments.
Winter Golf Academy
Winter Golf Academy not only trains individuals on their golf game, but also helps prepare them for life and golf through mental and physical training. Each week, we will have a classroom period, a full swing period, and some short game or golf workout and stretching session. Classroom sessions include various topics such as rules instruction, goal setting, as well as golf course or life strategy. The academy instructors include trainers with TPI experience, LPGA and PGA pros, a local award winning high school golf coach, RPD certified instructors, and a clinical psychotherapist with a masters degree in clinical psychology.
LPGA Girls – FREE
The LPGA-USGA Girls Winter Golf Academy is offered for girls ages 7-17. This program offers a fun approach to long term player development, with the hope that girls will continue to play golf socially or competitively. Instruction each week will focus on a full swing period, some short game, golf workouts, and a stretching session. We will also play fun games, go over rules, and touch on life lessons learned through golf. This program will accommodate all ages and skill levels. Funding provided by the Jane Lyons Foundation.
